Join us at the Hyattsville Hub at Melrose Skatepark for a day full of live music, good food, and fun activities! As the Hub begins, catch the DMV Music Academy Drumline procession as they head to the Spot Park. Love planking? Join the competition at 10:00 am. We hear Senator Alonzo T Washington will join in on the fun! The Hy-Fi Groove Society is coming out to host an all-day dance party for Trolley Trail Day, with Adagio Dance taking over at 11:00 a.m. for an awesome dance performance. Don't miss Pyramid Atlantic Art Center's Frankenbike Printing! Stop by the Hyattsville CDC, City of Hyattsville, M-NCPPC's PG Parks Capital Trails Coalition, East Coast Greenway, Indivisible Rte 1 and Rt 1 Mutual Aid tables and say hi to all your favorite people and grab resources! Be sure to pop over to Maryland Meadworks to try one of their slushies, and refuel with some 2Fifty BBQ!!

Hyattsville's (other) Hub "The Spot" promises maximum excitement with a range of activities for all ages! When The Spot opens at 10:00 am, listen for the DMV Music Academy Drumline, which will be arriving from North Brentwood's Entrepreneur Park. Check out the Groundbreaking Ceremony for The Spot at 10:30 am with Mayor Croslin and enjoy a tour of the soon-to-be-designed outdoor space! Engage with kids' activities provided by Playhouse Discovery Center and Art Works Now. For more kid fun, swing by Mathnasium and learn about all of their exciting programming! Interested in learning cool facts about reptiles? Defensoras De La Cuenca will host an informational table featuring their animal ambassador - Alex the Bearded Dragon. The Anacostia Riverkeeper will be on hand to discuss (Project C.L.E.A.N.) and share information on pollution in the tributaries of the Anacostia River and local water quality. M-NCPPC's Placemaking Division will be out discussing their upcoming events (Summer Soccer Kick-off!). There will be a Flag Football demo with FlagStar Football, and local realtor, Kayleigh Kulp from Amity Rose Properties will be out with cotton candy and popcorn snacks. For more delicious food, stop by the Cocineros tent. Want to walk the trail? Stop by the Hvl Pride Pop Up -- they will have 2 coordinated pride walks, one at 10:30 a.m. and the other at 12:30 p.m. Enjoy live music all day with Archie Edwards Blues Heritage Foundation!
Between The Spot and Melrose Park, we hear that Franklin's will have treats by their new ice cream shop, and that's where you'll find the Full Picture Games community exploration vending machine, where you can win gift certificates from Vigilante Coffee, Love Yoga, Wills Decorating, Nest Proper, and Call Your Mother, plus popcorn treats from Pop, Scoops & Dough! Try your hand at local trivia and see what you can win! The game plays on your phone with no downloads required.
