The Trolley Trail offers you many opportunities to engage with all kinds of interesting things to see and do throughout the year. While not a specific activity for Trolley Trail Day 2025, feel free to explore this awesome Creativity Hunt before, during or after Trolley Trail Day 2025! This Hunt was developed by the College Park Arts Exchange!

—your creative ideas and things to share with others on the trail!
Write a little song to sing as you walk along the Trail. If you’ve never written a song before, adapt the words of an existing tune, like “walk walk walk the trail, gently down the way…. Merrily merrily merrily merrily, Have a lovely day!”
How many pieces of art can you find along the trail? Count the murals and decide which ones you likes the best?
If you speak to someone who lives along the Trail, find out how long they have lived there and what their favorite memory of the Trail is.
How many people do you count on your walk who are wearing earbuds or head phones? What do you think they are listening to?
Try sitting down for one minute on every bench you pass. Use your five senses. What do you see, hear, smell, touch, or taste? (You might be eating a mulberry!)
College Park is TREEmendous! Pay attention to the trees you pass. Which tree is the largest? Which is the smallest? Are any in bloom or bearing fruit? (Mulberries are ripe around this time of year.) How many types of tree can you identify? College Park is a BEE CITY USA. Watch for bees and butter-flies!
What animals do you see along the trail? You might see pets as well as wild animals such as birds. Keep a Trolley Trail Tally! If you see a dog, imagine that it is royalty, and think up its nationality, ti-tle, and name.
If the Trolley Trail had its own mascot, what might you imagine it to be? It could be a real animal, like a bison, or an imaginary one, like a squirrunk.
Everyone in your group take turns doing a silly walk. See who can make it the silliest!
Pay attention to textures of the objects you pass. Use a piece of paper and crayon to take a rubbing of an interesting texture. You could also take a very close up picture of the texture.
A Haiku is a Japanese poetic form with three lines, with syllabic pattern of five, seven, five. Haiku are meant to reflect the beauty of nature as it changes through the seasons. Pay attention to your sur-roundings as you walk the trail and see if you are inspired to write a haiku!
Talk about the weather. What is specific about this very day? How does it feel to breathe the air? Make an eight-count dance move that expresses today’s weather.
Play eye spy with something you see far away. Guessers must guess before you walk past the thing!
What is your superpower along the Trolley Trail? How did you gain your power? What is your kryp-tonite? What is your group name as superheroes? How do you work together to save the day? Make a four panel comic book page about your exploits along the Trail!
Lose a penny on the trail. Find someone else’s penny. What years do you find? You could also lose bring along other tiny things to lose like a marble, a foreign coin, your troubles, a tiny origami animal, a bead, etc.
